Pakistan’s Interest in Motorcycles Grows; Kawasaki Heads the List

While cars make up the majority of Pakistani vehicle sales, motorcycles beginning to garner interest among potential buyers. Carmudi, the best way to sell or buy your vehicle online, analyzed hundreds of thousands of its listings and browsing data, in order to find where in Asia motorcycles rule over four-wheeled vehicles, and which brands dominate in the search for the perfect motorcycle.

Motorcycles comprise 27% of global listings, the majority of which are located in Asia. In Pakistan, the local market is still dominated by cars, which make up 87% of total listings, while motorcycles make up 10% of vehicles offered.

Pakistan’s traditional preference for cars is changing fast. In the first quarter of 2015, 213,000 motorcycles were sold in Pakistan, with motorcycle sales reportedly increasing by 26% between July and September. The sudden change may have stemmed from poor public transport and soaring petrol prices for cars, according to a survey of local car dealerships.

This surge in demand can also be explained by a recent ban on unregistered Qingqi rickshaws in the Karachi area, which has affected at least 65,000 Qingqi owners. Motorcycles are comparatively low-cost and low maintenance, less regulated, and can be more convenient in dealing with Pakistan’s prevalent infrastructure issues.

This sudden interest in motorcycles as an alternative to cars can also be seen on Carmudi. The most sought after model is Kawasaki ZX10R, with over 40,000 browses, followed by nearly as popular Yamaha R6 and Piaggio Storm.

Huawei outshines Apple in Design Innovation and Color Perfection

Having its roots in China, Huawei is emerging as the global leading technology brand. With its latest wonderful, smart device in the market, Huawei has set an open challenge for previous tech market leaders like Apple and Samsung. After being primarily revealed at IFA, Berlin, Mate S has won positive reviews from the technology critics all over the world. Owing to the excellent quality materials used in device manufacturing, Huawei has successfully created Mate S with premium hardware, excellent design and solid sleek structure. The Huawei watch has also become the most sought after since it was introduced at IFA, as it has been masterly designed and produced using Sapphire glass to look breathtakingly magnificent.

Huawei takes the winning trophy from Apple, not only in design innovation, but in color perfection as well. Huawei’s Mate S, though, has the same size screen; it is actually slimmer than the iPhone. Talking about color perfection, Huawei’s Pink version is all pink, head to toe. Whereas, the new iPhone, available in pink, Rose Gold as they call it, is only pink on the aluminum part and the front carries the white color. This difference was also pointed out by Huawei on their Twitter account and the tweet was “#HuaweiMateS in #RoseGold, from head to toe”. On the other hand Huawei Mate S features all pink body, front and back and even the antenna lines, which make them, look blended with the rest in contrast to the lines on the iPhones.
Prior to the launch of Mate S, it was quite known that Huawei’s coming prodigy would carry the latest pressure sensitive force touch screen. Although, Apple was the first to announce that they are planning to induce this technology in their new iPhones, but Huawei took the limelight by launching it before hand at IFA. This technology has been used by both the companies in different ways, Apple, naming it as 3D Touch, has used over all its OS, to create additional functions emerge from app icons and without actually opening the app for seeing a preview in them.

On the other hand, Huawei has taken it to the next level by making this app more useful and functional, through the “Scale App”. Because of the pressure sensitive force touch screen, users can actually weigh objects by placing them on their Mate S’s screen (objects weighing between 100 grams-400 grams). In addition to this, force touch in Mate S would help the users to control zooming in to the pictures and preview them in the gallery. But here this should be noted that Huawei has only incorporated these exclusive features in the Black Luxury edition of Mate S.
The Pressure sensitive modern screen is not the only similarity between the new iPhone and Mate S, both carry a 2.5D glass over their screens, both are made with aluminum and are available in four colors. Mate S’s premium version, available in Gold and Pink, with 64GB internal storage and the regular versions are offered in Champagne or Silver

Huawei G8 & Samsung A5- A Detailed Comparison

The smart technology market, all over the globe has welcomed amazingly unique and feature rich smart phones this year. Since technology has taken over the human lives, people are now more interested in getting their hands on advanced technologies before anyone else. This trend has particularly led towards a significant increase in the market sales of mid tier and high-end smart phones, because they do not only look stylish and elegant but they also perform extraordinarily.

In the race of developing modernized chic-smart phones, Huawei has taken the market lead and outshone big tech giants. Because of the prolific R&D department and excellent quality of production materials, Huawei has significantly established itself as the “leading tech innovator”.
Huawei’s latest prodigies belonging to P series, Mate Series and Honor Series have proven that this technology based company only delivers the best of products in exquisitely crafted exterior. Recently launched, Huawei G8, is undoubtedly a syndicate of stylish exterior and high tech interior.

Let’s have a detailed comparison of G8 with its competitor smart phone, Samsung Galaxy A5.

Structure & Design:

Huawei and Samsung, both the companies keep a keen eye on manufacturing attractive bodies for their devices, but the pattern Samsung has adopted is now getting old. Whereas, Huawei is focusing on making nature inspired bodies and those which have a tint of style and glamour. Huawei’s G8 is an example of such beautifully crafted design which makes it a perfect fit in the hands. Though A5 is not shabby to handle, but the ergonomic design of G8 makes it super easy to be used single-handedly.

G8 has got full-touch frontal surface, whereas A5 has a home button at its front bottom. The G8 by Huawei has got the power on/off and volume keys aligned on the right panel of the device, whereas in A5, the power key is on the right panel and volume keys are on the left. Though it doesn’t make any difference, but still it would have been a lot easier, if one could get both the functions at one spot, like in Huawei G8.

Another worth mentioning factor of G8 is the fingerprint scanner on its rear. It is right below the back camera, the research staff at Huawei, has developed the fingerprint scanner with enhanced perfection, making it instantly responsive. One similarity in design, between the two is that they both carry an LED flashlight adjacent to the rear camera.

Well, if we have to give points for being classy and attractive at the first glimpse then we would certainly pick Huawei G8.

Display Screen:

Now let’s talk about the screen beauty of G8 in comparison to A5. I am not picking sides here, but given other credits like affordability, Huawei has manufactured its latest G8 smart phone with color-rich big screen in comparison to A5. The display size of G8 is 5.5 inch, whereas of A5 is 5 inches, but what makes the difference is the ppi, in G8 it is 400 ppi and in A5 it is 294 ppi.

Both companies have utilized Corning Gorilla glass in their display screens, making them strong and resistant to external scratches etc. Another additional feature of G8 is that it has 2.5D curved screen which helps in creating three dimensional images, making the images you view or the  movies you are watching, feel more lifelike.

OS & Processor:
The internal parts of a smart phone would only perform extraordinarily when they are accompanied with the latest and up to date OS and processor. Huawei has incorporated its ultra modern G8 with the latest 1.5 GHz Octa Core processor and Android 4.4 KitKat OS. On the other hand, highly priced than G8, the A5 has 1.2 GHz Quad core processor in it with the Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

Huawei has certainly given its users a bigger treat by loading G8 with extremely efficient processor supported by the latest OS, whereas Samsung couldn’t manage to provide a comparatively effective processor in comparison to G8.

Storage:

The amount of data a smart device can adjust in it along with the efficacy of the processor and OS, decide the performance level of it and also how well it will do in the market. Huawei has aptly maintained the competition in this regard as well. As both the devices, Huawei G8 and Samsung A5 have a 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM incorporated in them and the extent to which memory can be expanded in G8 is 32GB (with the MicroSDcard) and in A5 it is 64GB.

But, given the processor efficacy of G8, one can obviously imagine, which of the two devices would outshine the other when it would come to downloading, or gaming, or movie buffering etc. Huawei has undoubtedly designed G8 as the perfect smart phone for not only the working generation but also the students, who have excess use of smart phone on a daily basis.

Camera:

Talking about the camera, we would have to place both the smart phones equally, as both of them carry 13 MP rears (with flashlight) and a 5MP front camera. The factor which distinguishes G8 from A5 are the additional features available with the camera. A5 does carry traditional camera features and qualities with it, but Huawei has totally revolutionized the cameras of G8. With complete DSLR features available with the rear camera and ultra beautification features with the front camera, pictures and selfies captured with G8 are undoubtedly most exquisite, refreshing, vivid and vibrant. Though the snaps taken through A5’s cameras are also extraordinary, but one can certainly create fascinating and memorable images and videos with Huawei’s G8.

Battery:

The functional time duration, a smart phone provides to its user in his day to day life, is undeniably significant. It is obviously quite irritating when the phone’s battery dies rapidly and one has to put off other important tasks repeatedly to charge his smart phone. Well, this problem can surely be overcome by loading a smart phone with a heavy powered battery. Huawei has again taken the lead in this regard by integrating a 3000 mAh in its G8, whereas, here again Samsung has not given enough and incorporated a 2300 mAh in its A5. Given the super efficient processor, latest OS and spacious storage of G8, this smart phone is utterly unbeatable by Samsung’s A5.

Pricing:

The monetary aspect of a smart phone is certainly considered the most, when one sets foot in a smart phone shop. Huawei has made a genius move by packing its G8 with unique features, super fast processor and OS, large memory and heavy powered battery and then pricing it lot less than the competitor smart phones like Samsung Galaxy A5. Huawei’s 4G LTE supporting G8 is available for Rs. 35,000/- whereas Samsung’s Galaxy A5 is available for Rs. 39,999/-.

Now we won’t put words in your mouth and will let you decide on your own, which device you would like to buy next time you step out to get yourself a classy and high tech smart phone.

Over the past two decades, Huawei has connected one-third of the world's population, with its information networks covering more than 170 countries and regions. In order to utilize transformative trends in the future, Huawei is increasing investment in innovative technologies, such as cloud computing, Big Data, 5G, SDN, and NFV. By pushing the limits of technology, Huawei is well positioned to seize opportunities in the digital era. It strives to provide full connectivity between people, between people and things, and between things. It will also continue to deliver innovative products to individual users, businesses, and organizations. The recent best example that has caught hearts all around the globe, but especially in Pakistan is Huawei Mate S.

As indicated by Interbrand's professional evaluation in the 2015 Best Global Brands report, Huawei has progressed well over the past year in all its three major business segments – carrier, enterprise, and consumer. Its strong R&D capacity, forward-looking strategic plan, and open innovation have contributed greatly to its brand responsiveness, relevance, and presence. And when it comes to the local market in Pakistan Huawei has very efficiently developed a larger consumer pool than Apple or Samsung because Huawei has something very foundational in terms of technologies and services with a high quality experience and better aesthetic taste serving.

In the enterprise market, Huawei's innovative products and solutions have laid a solid foundation for the company's competitiveness, and are widely acknowledged by customers. As a result, Huawei is accelerating its growth in the enterprise market. This growth momentum is further fueled by the widespread adoption of Huawei's flagship products and solutions (e.g. Cloud computing, storage, and agile networks) in both domestic and overseas sectors, such as smart cities, finance, education, and ISP.

In the consumer market, Huawei's quality products with a superior user experience have enabled the company to become the brand of choice. So far, Huawei has secured a strong footing in the mid-range and high-end device market. Its high-end smartphones – especially Mate7, Mate S, and P8 – and Honor smartphones have made solid progress. These developments have allowed Huawei to enjoy quality and sustainable growth in the consumer business.

Amid a wave of ICT convergence, interdependency and co-existence are essential for different industries, products, services, and brands. Close collaboration is required to build a more prosperous ICT industry. Huawei is committed to creating an open ecosystem. Open partnership has allowed the company to complement its capabilities and exchange energy with the rest of the world.

With an open mindset, Huawei has collaborated closely with its partners in areas such as cloud computing, SDN, NFV, and 5G, aiming to jointly drive industry development.

At Huawei Cloud Congress 2015, Huawei announced its cloud ecosystem strategy, which focuses on IT infrastructure, software platforms, and enterprise cloud services. The company is dedicated to building a more robust cloud ecosystem with its partners, including infrastructure providers, application developers, channel partners, integrators, and independent software vendors. At the forthcoming 1st Huawei Developers Congress (October 19–20, 2015), over 2,000 developers will gather to explore how to leverage Huawei's open ICT capabilities to build a stronger ecosystem that benefits all.

Pakistan Among Most Affordable Asian Countries For Used Cars

Carmudi, the easiest way to sell or buy your car online, analyzed hundreds of thousands of used car listings in order to find out how much consumers are spending on used vehicles globally. The study looked at used car models aged 2008 to 2013 to provide insights into price differences across Carmudi countries.

The average price of a used car in Pakistan is ($15,056), as compared to the Philippines ($16,719), Sri Lanka ($27,966) and Bangladesh ($33,692). This year, Pakistan has experienced positive economic growth, with the country’s economy expected to expand by 2.6% in 2015. 2016 is forecast to see even higher growth at 3.8%.

Despite this, car sales remain low in Pakistan when compared to its neighbors. Although Indonesia’s population is 37% larger than Pakistan’s, its auto sales are 626% higher. Local consumers continue to seek more affordable alternatives, such as the motorcycle. Motorcycles are the predominant mode of transportation in the country. Honda alone sold a staggering 526,327 motorcycles there between July 2014 and April 2015.

An additional way to improve the industry and encourage purchases is to improve the purchasing experience for buyers. An improved buying experience can be made through new methods of browsing and sales, such as the Carmudi website and app. “With our service, we can see a more enhanced purchasing experience throughout Asia, as buyers are able to look for the best deal and easily compare prices.” says Raja Murad Khan, the Managing Director of Carmudi Pakistan.

Huawei Took Apple with Powerful Choke-Slam To Knock It All Out

Following its conventional trend of introducing technological innovations in the market, Apple came up with a naive technology of “Force Touch” in its recently launched smartphone iPhone 6S, this September. Apple was considering Force Touch technology a similar achievement in the universe of smartphone technologies like touch screen in the first place. But then there was a contender for the title of smartphone technologies Championship that ran into Apple and met it with a powerful choke-slam, knocking out Apple legacy completely. That New Champion of the technological Universe is Huawei with its all new sleek, glamorous and wonderfully featured Mate S.

Huawei has proven itself a true champ of smartphone Technology and industry, both. It is only Huawei who faced Apple with its irresistibly wondrous technology of “Force Touch”, making  it crystal clear to all the competitors that Huawei has something really superior in its spirit, better be called innovative technological guts.

And it must be admitted that not only Apple but a whole school of Technology Pandits and expert observers fell a bit short and tried to undermine Research and development capacities of Huawei. Being realistic in the approach always demands sharp analysis and understanding of the ground realities. And the reality is that Mate S is an aboriginal in its supremacy of finest blend of all alluring features like “Force Touch”, “fingerprint scanner”, awesome “13 Megapixel” Camera and lot more. So where the bragging competitors of Technology world are standing now?

A neutral observer while looking at Mate S, finds it a compact smart gadget incorporated generously with all imaginable (or should we say desirable) qualities that make a smartphone actually what it takes to be. Holding this miracle of technological might in your hand, you will experience inevitable adorning, eye-catching sleek and streamlined body. And what could one ask for, when having a glimmering gold of Huawei’s treasure, with finely lined edges and silky touch of 5.5 inches large screen and delicately curved back. Adding to this, Mate S has an all metal body with lustrous shines and classical feel.

Coming to the luscious curved back of the Huawei Mate S, there is much talk about. On the backside of Mate S that efficient “Fingerprint” security unlock has been placed, exactly at the spot where it should be. Meanwhile, holding in your hand, your index finger naturally goes to the point where that invoking highly efficient fingerprint scanner is. Just touch the scanner and Mate S unlocks in less than a blink of eye. Besides this the backside also has a high resolution 13 megapixel camera with a strong but tiny well jewelled LED flash.

“Force Touch” of Mate S is no way least attraction at all. Touching with a harder press on the screen allows you to  meet with a lot more features you have ever wondered. Also, while moving through the excellent snaps in the photo gallery, you took from your Mate S, you can zoom in or enlarge your click by just putting some pressure pressing the screen a little hard. Not only that. You want to weigh your gold ring? Or anything like that? Don’t worry Mate S will do the job. Just place it on the screen and wonder what Huawei Mate S “Force Touch” can't do..!

Now it is time for the technology lover to make a right choice, leaving old legacies of unmatching and bore repetitive products and go for the new champ of technology universe which is Huawei. Have your Mate S, its waiting for you in the stores!!
